Ray Mencio has been a third-party inspector for the CT Green Bank for six (6) years. He also supervised the construction of the Connecticut Technical High School Systems (CTHSS) “E-Houses,” which are fitted with Solar PV, Solarthermal, and other renewable energy and efficiency technologies. He graduated from W.F. Kaynor Technical High School in Waterbury and has been an Electrical Contractor (E-1) for over forty-five (45) years.  He attended Central Connecticut State University and holds both teaching and department head certifications from Connecticut State Department of Education. As part of his forty-two (42) years of state service, Ray served twenty-two (22) years as the Education Consultant for the CTHSS, overseeing the Construction Career Trades. He has also completed the North American Board of Certified Energy Professionals (NABCEP) training.
