Mariana Cardenas Trief

Director, Investments

Mariana has been involved in the Green Bank since 2015 as part of the Investments team. In that role, she’s deployed financing for clean energy in the state, including run of the river hydro, bond issuances, and commercial solar programs.

Previously, she worked at UGE where she led Project Finance for Distributed Renewable Energy Projects in multiple countries, including the US, Philippines, Panama and China. Mariana is originally from Colombia and has a background in international development and finance, having worked in the US, Latin America and Europe.

She earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Science degree from Tufts University and a Masters in Science in Sustainability Management from Columbia University.
