Barbara Waters

Associate Director, Special Projects

Barbara Waters is the Associate Director of Special Projects for the Connecticut Green Bank. Hired by the quasi-state agency in January 2017, she works on the team responsible for the development, planning, and execution of marketing strategies that communicate the benefits of the financial products and services of the Green Bank. She is also responsible for a number of cross-departmental initiatives to improve processes and procedures and has driven numerous operational efficiencies that help amplify the agency’s message and attract opportunities to the Green Bank.

Prior to this role, Waters worked in ESPN’s Affiliate Sales department for 26 years, where, as a Senior Director, she launched innovative marketing programs to support the distribution of the ESPN family of networks.

During her career, Waters has earned awards for leadership and marketing creativity, and in 2019, she was named one of the inaugural Franzini Fellows by CDFA. She is a graduate of Yale College with cum laude honors and a BA in History.
