How to become a capital provider
Connecticut maintains an “open market” approach to C-PACE, encouraging private capital providers to finance C-PACE benefit assessments.
Any capital provider interested in offering C-PACE financing must become a Qualified Capital Provider for C-PACE, which is administered by the Connecticut Green Bank, by responding to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ).
Qualified Capital Providers can offer C-PACE financing directly to building owners in Connecticut. The Green Bank has outlined this process in the Third-Party Capital Provider Terms & Conditions, which outlines the terms and conditions among a Capital Provider, the Borrower, and the Connecticut Green Bank regarding origination, funding and administration of C-PACE transactions.
Contact the Green Bank with questions regarding the terms and conditions or to submit a response to the RFQ. For more information about C-PACE, please see the Program Guidelines.
