Our August presentation will feature James Geppner, Executive Director, of Erase40, an organization using behavioral science to speed the adoption of climate safe buildings.  Registration is required!

The presentation is called “The Decision Being Made Right Next To Us.”

Architects and builders are present for the very consequential decision by home buyers and developers to opt for—or against—a zero energy building. But what is the role of architects and builders in this decision? And what advantages and opportunities are available to them? In this presentation we’ll look at the home buyer’s and developer’s decision through the lens of a behavioral model so we can see some of the hidden drivers of this decision. We’ll also talk about the stability (or instability) of the status quo and what we can all do to speed the transition to zero energy buildings.

The Multifamily Peer to Peer Network meets monthly at NeighborWorks New Horizons Community Room, 311 Poplar Street, New Haven, from 10:30 am to 1 pm. The Network is sponsored by the Connecticut Green Bank with support from the Affordable Housing Alliance (formerly Connecticut Housing Coalition). Network members come from various fields (architects, engineers, developers, etc.) working with multifamily property design and management in Connecticut.
