environmental infrastructure offerings
In 2021, the Green Bank’s model was expanded through Public Act 21-115 to include environmental infrastructure, related to water, waste and recycling, climate adaptation and resiliency, agriculture, land conservation, parks and recreation, and environmental markets, including carbon offsets and ecosystem services. Our approach to environmental infrastructure includes nature-based solutions — a wide range of actions to protect, sustainably manage, or restore natural or modified ecosystems to address societal challenges including climate change — as well as hard infrastructure improvements which increase both social and ecological resilience.
The Green Bank is now mobilizing investment in environmental infrastructure projects that address our mission to confront climate change by increasing and accelerating investment into Connecticut’s green economy to create more resilient, healthier, and equitable communities.
If you’re a project champion or sponsor, capital provider, contractor, municipality, nonprofit, homeowner, community member, or other stakeholder interested in learning more, we’d love to hear from you.
