For Ron, it all started back in 1980 while speaking with some climate experts at Connecticut Public TV. 40 years later when he saw their predictions were happening in real time, he decided to implement clean energy changes and turned to the Connecticut Green Bank for help.
After getting an energy audit on his house, he took their advice and replaced his windows that were from the 1950’s, sealed the drafts, and added insulation. Then, to address their heating and cooling needs, they installed heat pumps. In the spring of 2023, Ron launched into the process of going solar and adding battery storage to the system. Once energized, the solar will produce enough power for all their needs.
